I have been adding more and more parts to the Miata for two main reasons. One has been to make it more reliable and the other is in hopes of improving overall performance. In order to really push the car’s limits (in a safe manner) I decided to take my first stab at autocross.
I surprised myself with how much fun autocross could be. I always considered autocross to be a watered down version of racing. Some car nerds set out cones in a parking lot, race a few left and right hand turns, and then you’re done.
Fortunately in MN, we have this little place called Dakota Community Technical College. They have a pseudo track that is used for motorcycling training, police force training, etc. etc. This course allows an autocross event to have a dynamic experience that proves to be incredibly fun!
